Landscapes and Constructions series: Emission

 

Marc Egan studied ceramics at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario (1987-1990). Since then he has worked as a studio ceramicist producing decorated earthenware pottery and ceramic sculpture in his Toronto studio. Over the past twenty years he has taught ceramics at Harbourfront Centre, George Brown College, the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art in Toronto. Marc is currently part-time faculty in the Ceramics Department at Sheridan College, Oakville Ontario.

Egan has undertaken both national and international artist residencies and is the recipient of many awards including Ontario Arts Council Crafts Grants and the Winifred Shantz Award for Ceramics (2003). His work is in numerous private collections as well as the collections of the Gardiner Museum, Royal Ontario Museum, and the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery.
